Vol. IPune & Mumbai2026

A Record from the Field

The Skyward Project

Youth-led research · Educational equity · Financial literacy

Lead Story

Financial literacy should not be a privilege tied to school type, family background, or academic stream.

A youth-led research and policy effort on educational equity and money skills. One paper, every grade, every board — written for a sixteen-year-old in Pune or Mumbai.

What we do

A youth-led research and policy initiative on educational equity, financial literacy, and how ready students are for life after school.

How we measure it

The FinLit Index. One thirty-minute paper, adapted from the S&P Global Financial Literacy Survey, sat in identical form by every student from Grade 9 to Grade 12.

Where we are

Pune and Mumbai, 2026. The instrument is written. We are looking for a first pilot across schools of different boards and income groups in both cities.
