A youth-led research and policy effort on educational equity and money skills. One paper, every grade, every board — written for a sixteen-year-old in Pune or Mumbai.
What we do
A youth-led research and policy initiative on educational equity, financial literacy, and how ready students are for life after school.
How we measure it
The FinLit Index. One thirty-minute paper, adapted from the S&P Global Financial Literacy Survey, sat in identical form by every student from Grade 9 to Grade 12.
Where we are
Pune and Mumbai, 2026. The instrument is written. We are looking for a first pilot across schools of different boards and income groups in both cities.

Founder · Research Lead
Verushka is a writer and tenth-grader with a growing interest in computer science, finance, and economics. Writing has been an important part of how she expresses her ideas, and she is the author of Aspiring for the Stars. She also enjoys coding and exploring how technology can be used to understand and solve real-world problems. Her interest in finance has led her to write two research papers on quantitative finance, while her curiosity about AI, computer science, and finance has encouraged her to complete over 30 certifications across these fields. More than anything, she’s someone who can’t sit still, and is always looking for the next venture.

Prathmesh is a 12th grade student at the Dhirubhai Ambani International School. Passionate about finance and financial literacy, he’s pursued various projects in the field. His most notable project, DhanSaaskhar, involved his own personally created comic and sessions he undertook, which reached over 100 people and received a lot of positive feedback. He wishes to pursue a career in the field of finance in the future, particularly investments. His depth in this field is seen through his internships at Tata Mutual Fund under the CIO Mr Rahul Singh, and the Entelechy Fund under the co-founder Mrs Megha Sood. His passion in the subject has extended into research on the awareness of the subject among the masses, which led him to develop this project.
